It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Moore Funderburk of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Roger Funderburk; her former life partner Edd Moore; and her brothers, Harold Deese, Clayton Deese and Kenneth Deese.

She is survived by : her children, Terri M. Bailey (Bish) and Steve E. Moore (Donna); her grandchildren, Kent Long, Chelsey Bailey Lundgren (Tyson), Robert Bishop Bailey III (Deveryn), Schyler Bailey-Patel (Mike) and Casey Elizabeth Moore; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Lundgren, Walker Lundgren, Wren Lundgren, Robert B. Bailey IV (Bo), Ford Bailey and Jackson Bailey; and her sister Willie Collins. She is also survived by her family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe (204 S Main St, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the McEwen Colonial Chapel. A burial was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
