It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Johnston Harris of Monroe, North Carolina, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Sloop Johnston and Melrose Harrison Johnston; and her husband William Roger Harris. She is survived by: her children, Darrel Watson (Tonya) of Locust, NC, Donna Stewart (Brad) of Perth and Mechelle Watson of Garner, NC; her brother Ben Johnston of Harrisburg, NC; and her grandchildren, Coty Brown, Max Weinstone, Ethan Watson, Jared Watson and Summer Stewart.
