Koy Ellis Dawkins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2020, at the age of 85, Koy Ellis Dawkins of Monroe, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Koy Leo Dawkins and Gertrude Pittman Dawkins; and his wife Betty Ann Tysinger Dawkins (Joanne Helms Dawkins). He is survived by: his son Koy Ellis Dawkins, Jr. (Marcie) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Brandon Rains (April), Tyler Rains (Megan), Connor Rains (Maggie) and Chelsey Hardison (Derek); his great grandchild Carla Price of Monroe; his sister Trudy Dawkins Watkins; and his sibling's child Nealson Watkins (Kennette) of Rockingham.

Due to Covid19 and church restrictions the family has chosen to have a private family memorial service, with inurnment following in the church's columbarium.
