With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lee Hamilton (Monroe, North Carolina), who passed away on May 2, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lee may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Walls and Addie Blount Walls; and her children, Norma Jean Walls, Margaret Walls, Henry G Walls and Donnie L Walls.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home & Cremations (714 E Franklin St, Monroe, NC 28110). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (5909 Wolf Pond Rd, Monroe, NC 28110). A burial was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at the same location.
