He was predeceased by: his parent Lonnie David Kirkley. He is survived by: his mother Georgia Novasad Kirkley; his wife Annette Bridges Kirkley; his children, Lonnie David Kirkley III, Maclaine Alexander Kirkley (Savannah), Joshua Mark Tyson (Laureen), Kaitlyn Marie Kirkley and Erin Tyson Baker (Britton); his siblings, Michael Edward Kirkley (Aimee) and Mary Ilene Wolf (Gene); and his grandchildren, Anna Grace Kirkley, Michael Landon Kirkley, Teagan Olivia Tyson, Addison Hope Tyson and Ansley Grace Tyson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Lonnie's honor be made to Hospice of Union County or the American Cancer Society.
