She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Ward Carter and Jessie Starnes Carter; her husband Larry Eugene Allen Sr.; her siblings, Jennie Carter Everson, Jean Carter Hamilton, Stamey Carter and Joe Carter; her daughter-in-law Jean Allen; and her grandson Brian Crutchman.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry "Gene" Allen Jr. of Waxhaw, NC, Michael Joe Allen (Martha) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tony Darrel Allen of Waxhaw, NC; her sisters, Geri Kilgore of South Port, NC and Glenda Manus (Henry) of Lancaster, SC; her grandchildren, Jennifer Starnes (Ben), Morgan Johnson (Patrick), Allie Kohler (John) and Graceson Allen; and her great grandchildren, James Jury, Joseph Jury, Michele Starnes, Bryce Johnson, Camryn Johnson, Adelyn Johnson, Miles Johnson, Jack Kohler, Luke Kohler, Reid Kohler and Grant Kohler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews she loved.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
