He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; and his parents, Edward J. Mahoney and Barbara A. Stratford. He is survived by: his children, K. Michael Mahoney, II (Angeline), Dara Barnett (Brad) and Ashley Mahoney (Danny); his granddaughters, Lilyana and Adalyn Barnett; his siblings, Daniel Mahoney (Debbie), Theresa Horn and Kelly Wilson; and his siblings-in-law, April, Stephen Jensen, David, JoAnn Zackey, Christine, Patrick Slack and John Winecker.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Mercy Church - Union County (1744 Williams Rd, Monroe, NC 28110).
