He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilson Hinson Sr. and Emma Morgan Hinson of Stanly County; his brother Charles Arden Hinson; and his niece Carol Lutz Sneed. He is survived by: his wife Marie Greene Hinson; his children, Jenny Hinson Kluttz (Danny) and Adam Hinson; his grandson Nathan Kluttz; and his sister Sylvia H. Lutz (J. W.) of Charlotte.
