He was predeceased by: his mother Rachel Belk Couick; his wife Mary Couick; his son Richard Couick; his sisters, Emily Potts, Ann Y. Couick and Judy Lisk; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Couick and Milton Lisk Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Ronny Couick (Selena) of Norwood and Cindy Courtney (Randy) of Raleigh; his stepdaughters, Paula Starnes of Monroe and Sharon Cauthen (Donnie) of Lancaster, SC; his siblings, Billy Couick, Darryl Couick (Sonya) of Monroe and Donna Medlin (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Adam Couick (Loretta) of Mooresville and Kimberly Eagle (Jake) of Manteo; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Cauthen, Brooke Cauthen, Christopher Henry, Jeremy Henry and Brandon Henry; his great grandchild Dylan Eagle; his close friends, Larry McGuirt and Ralph Belk; and his pet Rusty.
