With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Orpah Ella Gouge (Monroe, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 29, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lindsey Sparks and Ruby Sparks; her sister Martha Jean; her son Dennis Gouge; and her husband Reverend George Gouge.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Gouge and Yvette Deese; and her siblings, Tommy (Carolyn), Lewis (Anita) and Ann Stewart (Nate). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Union County.
