She was predeceased by: her parents, Dee Vernial Smith and Lydia Hammond Smith; her siblings, D. V. Smith Jr., Eugene Hammond Smith, Magdalene Smith McCollum and Vivian Smith Flake; her brothers-in-law, Milford McCollum, Joseph Winfield and Jack Flake; and also Jack.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Smith; her children, Mark Bradley Smith and Tara Elizabeth Smith Rummage; her grandson Samuel Garrett Rummage; and her sisters, Sarah Smith Horne (Charles) and Annie Lee Smith Winfield.
