He was predeceased by: his father Gayle Swanson Daugherty; and his father-in-law Ronnie Hough. He is survived by: his mother Frances Dixon Daugherty; his wife Tammy Daugherty; his children, Natalie Grimaud (Geoffrey), Stacie Boatright (Charles) and Clifton Daugherty (Mathulada); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Grimaud, Thomas Boatright and Emmarie Boatright; his sister Cheryl Daugherty; his sister-in-law Cheryl Plyler; and his mother-in-law Peggy Hough. He is also survived by five nieces; one nephew; and 12 grand nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the church in his name.
