He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Cullwell Drake and Ruth Mildred Drake; his brother Joe Neal Drake; his sisters-in-law, Millie Ann Drake and Bonnie Drake; and his grandson River Drake.
He is survived by: his daughters, Crystal Pittman (Robert) of Monroe, NC and Tammy Baucom (Joey) of Marshville, NC; his siblings, Keith (Kay Tarlton), Randy Drake, Elaine Black (John) and Penny Love (Lanard); his grandchildren, Lesley Moss (Jon), Kaila Treadaway (Chris), Victoria Shore (Travis), Ellis Baucom (Autumn), Aydan Drake, Wyatt Drake and Salem Drake; and his great grandchildren, Luca, Sage, Rivie, Everly, Silas, Liam, Malachi, Julia, Ayla, Axil, Saylor and Treadaway.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hope Second Advent Christian Church (6804 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
