He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Rushing and Nannie Kiker Baucom; his brother Buren Rushing; his wife Linda Gray Rushing; and his stepson Raven Locklear.
He is survived by: his sisters, Willie Mae Rushing (Arval Rushing), Belva Rushing (late J. Hue Rushing) and Sheila Helms; his sons, Randy and Tim Rushing; his stepdaughters, Lachelle and Sabrina Locklear; his granddaughters, Randi, Lily, Lauren and Kayla Rushing; and his stepgranddaughter Kebrina Locklear.
