He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Louis Edwards and Irene Dickerson Edwards; his sister Marie Flow; his brother-in-law Robert Flow; and his brother Ted Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Helms Edwards; his daughter Ravonda E. Robinson (Wesley) of Monroe; his sisters, Lois Ellwanger (David) of Richmond, VA., Brenda Baucom (Dolan) of Monroe, NC and Grace Faris (Melvin) of Monroe, NC; his grandchildren, Hayden Mingus (Katherine) of Wilmington, NC, Carlyn Mingus (Jesus Torres) of Willard, NC and Shayna Robinson of Monroe, NC; and his great grandchild Felina Torres of Willard, NC..
