We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2025, at the age of 77, Vicki Myrick Penegar (Monroe, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Lee Myrick and Peggy Evelyn Howard. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Joel Lynn Penegar; her children, Stefan Penegar (Amanda), Darla McFall (Robert), Vanessa Medlin (Brian) and Christina Penegar; her sister Debbie Joyner; and her grandchildren, Seth, Alexandra, Adeline, Isabella, Samuel, Evelyn, Ava and Bennett.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of Bazemore, a non-profit that supports the senior adult center, 500 W. Jefferson St. Monroe, NC 28112.
