She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Preston Helms and Glennie Simpson Helms; her husband Albert Stegall; her son Reece Stegall; her daughters-in-law, Brenda Stegall and Margaret Stegall; her siblings, Jack Helms, Bill Helms, Ralph Helms, Gene Helms, Lavonia Stegall and Brenda James; and her grandchild Tabetha Stegall.

She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Stegall (Cynthia), Ronald Stegall (Sissy), Donald Stegall (Dong), Johnny Stegall (Debbie) and Michael Stegall; her sister Betty Sue Austin (Jack); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Cunningham, Amy Drake, Steve Stegall, David Stegall, Emmy Smith, John Stegall, Jenna Williams, Anna Patterson and Felicia Ruppe. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
