He is survived by: his wife Adele Morgan Whitaker; and his children, Walter Craig Whitaker (Kathy) of Indian Trail, NC and Rochelle Leigh Chacra (Chris) of Waxhaw, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
