She was predeceased by: her parents, Miles Tessiner and Bobbie "Granny" Tessiner; and her siblings, Tommy Tessiner, Wayne Tessiner, Becky Tessiner and Donna Hudson.
She is survived by: her husband Davie Powell; her children, Shane Powell of Mooresboro, Steven Edwards of Bostic, Stephanie Medford (Rick) of Harris, Michelle Nolan (Michael) of Forest City and Krysti Sumner of Shelby; and her grandchildren, Zachary Powell, Mackenzie Powell, Shana Campfield, Stephen Hoyle and John McAbee.
