We are sad to announce that, on December 19, 2025, at the age of 88, Gene Franklin Willis of Mooresville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Doctor Willis and Mary Bingham Willis; his siblings, Ruth Shoemaker and Grady Willis; his son Todd Willis; and his grandson Aaron Willis.

He is survived by: his wife Velma "Cissy" Willis; his sons, Joshua Willis and Jordan Willis (Brittany); his daughter-in-law Anna Willis; his siblings, Hazel Hagler and Ray Willis (Marie); his grandchildren, Abby, Anna Grace, Emma Grace, James and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Rylan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 525 S. Broad Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
