He was predeceased by : his father Fred Hendrix; his daughter Debbie Hayes; and his siblings, Bill Hendrix, Peggy Hull, Dorothy Hendrix and Frances Hendrix.

He is survived by : his wife June Loftis Hendrix; and his children, Todd Anthony (Susan), Scott Hendrix (Maria), Jamy Hendrix (Andrea), Roger Hendrix (Angie Fink) and Tammie Mitchem (Kenny). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
