He is survived by: his wife Margaret Todi Sears; his daughters, Christine McGroder (Patrick) of Sunset Beach and Deborah Hoover (Justin Williams) of Slaterville Springs; his son-in-law Randy Hoover; his grandsons, Andrew Hoover (Alexandra Bond), Timothy Hoover, Seth McGroder (Maggie) and Jeremy McGroder (Natalie); his stepgrandchildren, Brendan Williams and Molly Williams; his siblings, Richard Sears (Susan) of Stevensville, Maryland and Nancy Nivison (David) of Cortland; Gizmo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
