She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Eugene Porter and Rita Carolyn Starnes; her sister Mechelle Porter Strickland; and her half-brother Johnathan Porter. She is survived by: her husband Randy Goode of Mooresville; her sister Kelly Porter Scott (Jeff Scott) of Goldhill; her daughters, Kember Goode (Chris Franklin) of Mooresville and Kaley Halyburton (Jesse Halyburton) of Lexington, Two; her grandchildren, Harper Jo Armstrong and Waylen Franklin; her half-sister Connie Porter Stegall; and her stepsister Heather Poston Brown.
