He was predeceased by: his parents, David Glenn Ludwig and Bessie Jarvis Ludwig; his wife Mary Margaret "Peggy" Melchor Ludwig; his daughter Tammy Brown; his son-in-law Chris Brown; his sister Wendy Shoaf; and his brother-in-law Dan Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie Glenn Ludwig (Penny) and Kelly L. Compton (Richard); his brother Coy Ludwig; his nephew Brad Shoaf; and his grandsons, Brett (Becky), David (Emily), Wesley (Morgan) and Curtis (Molly). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
