With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louis Mello of Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Louis Mello to pay them a last tribute.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Louis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Mello and Estrella Carreira Mello; and his sister Ida Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hoyt Mello; his son Michael Mello; his stepchildren, Kenneth Braido, John Gallina, Tammy Pate and Lisa Frye; and his sister Edwina Mello. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
