Lynn Preston Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lynn Preston (Mooresville, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 73, on July 7, 2025. As we bid Lynn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lynn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Warren Sempell and Doris Sempell; her siblings, Steve and Kim; her husband Gordon Preston; and her daughters, Jennifer (Jenn) and Amanda. She was also cherished by her husband, her daughters, her sons-in-law, and her grandson.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home ((Hwy 150), 494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for any donations made in Lynn's honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
