He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion John Wesley Barnes and Retta Mae Greer Barnes; his grandchildren, Haddi, Angel, Davis and Baby Barnes; his sister Anne Wilcox; and his brother-in-law Bob Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Sabrina Witherspoon Barnes; his children, Justin Barnes (Rachael), Heather Sevilla, Joshua Davis (Julie), Daniel Davis (Kelly) and Thomas Davis; his grandchildren, Kaleb, Elijah Sevilla, Josiah, Fiona Barnes, Hannah France, Noah, Gracen Davis, Jakob, Kaylee Davis and Maverick Acevedo; his sisters, Frances Dotson (David), Linda Evans and Kaye Overcash; and his brother-in-law Wilcox.
In honor of his life, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, P.O. Box 977, Mooresville, NC 28115, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
