He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Mitcham and Tan Mitcham. He is survived by: his wife Carol Newton Mitcham; his daughters, Nicole Mitcham Kenney (Jim) of Mooresville and Leah Mitcham Rafuse (Cliff) of Statesville; his great-niece Addison Rae Bland of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister Rita Everhart; his niece Wendy Everhart; and his nephew Shaun Everhart of Ellenboro, NC..
