William Burton Harris III Obituary

As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton Harris Jr. and Mary Query Harris; and his brother Robert Eugene Harris (Gene). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Brown of Troutman, NC.; his children, Kimberly Harris Lingerfelt (Bryan) of Lexington, NC and David Burton Harris (Whitne Brawley Harris) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and his grandchildren, Brett, Drew Lingerfelt, Mary Kate and Sarah Beth Harris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (249 W McLelland Ave, Mooresville, NC 28115).
