He is survived by: his wife Clara Miller McConnell; his children, Bonnie Kauffman (Larry Adams) of Moravian Falls and Edward William McConnell (Betty) of Boomer; and his grandchildren, William McConnell (Amanda), Austin McConnell, Jonathan Pittman (Kayla), Michael McConnell, Steven Kauffman (Vicki), Ashley Kauffman, Bria Wheeler (Lee) and Brooke Cornett (Heath). He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
