She is survived by: her daughters, Leila Vernon (Keith) of Millers Creek and Brenda South (Michael) of Hamptonville; her grandchildren, Michelle Shumate (Brad) of Moravian Falls, Hannah Kilby (Brock) of Richlands, Paisley Vernon of Millers Creek, Austin South (Alyssa) of Hamptonville and Isaac South of Hamptonville; and her extended family, Jay Anderson of Wilkesboro, Tom Anderson (Judy) of Wilkesboro, Harold Anderson of Fleetwood, Shirley Roberts of North Wilkesboro, Carol Moser of Spruce Pine, Madge Anderson of Salisbury and Christine DuBose (Bob) of Sanford. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church (4275 Statesville Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (100 Cherry Grove Church Rd., Moravian Falls, NC 28654).
