He was predeceased by: his parents, Headen Willis and Rosa Willis; his wife Connie Moore Willis; and his brothers, William Red Willis "Junior", Abram Willis and Wade Donald Willis.
He is survived by: his children, Sonya Willis of Morehead City and Brinkley Earl Willis Jr. (Melodie) of Morehead City; his sisters, Alberta Smith of Salter Path and Delores Guthrie of Salter Path; his grandsons, Chandler Willis (Kamile), Jamison Willis and Bryson Willis; and his great grandchildren, Pierce Willis, Emmaline Willis and Juliette Willis.
