She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart Gray and Doris Gray; her husband Lloyd Stanton Dale of Year's Eve; and her sister Janice Maxwell. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Dale (Patricia) of Morehead City, Susan Houck (Keith) of Chapel Hill and Daniel Dale of Pocatello; her grandchildren, Emilie, Sierra Houck, Michael, Andrew Dale, Maxime and Iliya Dale; her sister Eleanor Millard (Jack) of Boylston; and her brother-in-law Ronald Maxwell of Morehead City. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to organizations supporting refugees, education, or social services, causes that reflect the life that she loved.
