It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Donald McComas in Morehead City, North Carolina, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Brian McComas. He is survived by: his parents, Donald Lee McComas and Vivian Sara Velez McComas of California; his wife Kathie Ellen Elliott; his children, Kara Jane Williams (Brandon) of Maryland, Kallie Ann Sommers-McComas of Greenville and Ryan Spencer McComas of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Ryian, Seth and Wyatt; his sister-in-law Erika Elliott of Hawaii; his nieces, Korel McComas of Las Vegas and Sparkles Eira Elliott of Hawaii; his parents-in-law, Fred Sommers, Sommers of Tabor City, Debbie Elliott and Bob Elliott; and his pet Mister Misdemeanor McComas.
A reception was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel (1535 S 41st St, Wilmington, NC 28403).
