He is survived by: his wife Violet Hopkins; his children, Christopher Hopkins, Timothy Hopkins, Heather Randel and Vicki Rinella Vaughan; and his stepchildren, Von Triplett, Tina Watson and Reneé Pennell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hartland Baptist Church (3730 Hartland Rd, Morganton, NC 28655). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for Veterans Serving Veterans.
