He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Abee and Mary Ruth Lambert Abee; his wife Hildred Robinson Abee; and his siblings, Danny Abee, David Abee and Patricia Hudson.
He is survived by: his sons, Allen "Shane" Abee of Morganton and Eldridge "Brooks" Abee (Shawna) of Statesville; his sister Judy Stroupe; and his grandchildren, Dustin, Ethan, Summer, Jenna, Justin and Erika.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Winkler's Grove Baptist Church (3320 9th Ave Dr NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
