He was predeceased by: his father Rufus Henry Shade Sr.; and his brother Mark Shade. He is survived by: his mother Cordie Ann Shade; his brothers, Rev. Michael Shade and Rufus Shade Jr.; his sister-in-law Cynthia; his niece Symone'Shade; and his cousin Rita Rankin.
