It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenda Lingafelt (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on February 19, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph William Stroupe and Mattie Lee Holder Stroupe. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Wesley Lingafelt; her sons, Douglas Lingafelt (Lauri) of Soldotna, Raymond Lingafelt (Julie) of Summerville and Greg Lingafelt of Apopka, Florida; her grandsons, William, Mark, John and Jared Lingafelt; her great grandchildren, Tyler and Zane Lingafelt; her great great grandchild Oakley Lingafelt; her sister Jean Powell; her niece Amy Beach (Jeff); and her great-niece Brittany Beach.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care or Catawba Valley Baptist Church.

She always had a bright, infectious smile and laugh and bubbly personality, she was a wonderful friend and let me stay with her many times when my husband was at prudhoe.
