He is survived by: his mother Valeria "Vera" Caldwell; his wife Monica; his children, Gregory Caldwell, Jr., Jordan Caldwell, Justin Caldwell and McKenzie Caldwell; his grandchildren, Kylan Caldwell and Gregory Caldwell, III; his siblings, Norma Caldwell Singletary (Darren), Doris Caldwell, Mary Hayden and Rodney Finger; his nephews, Brandon Singletary, Ryan Singletary and Kevin McCrae; his niece Anita Hayden Harper; his close friend Richard Dane Baker; his mother-in-law Brenda Jordan Holmes; his siblings-in-law, Trina Holmes Patrick (Christopher) and Tremayne Holmes; Vera Caldwell. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCain Funeral Home & Cremations (220 Avery Ave, Morganton, NC 28655). A burial was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:45 PM at the Willow Tree AME Church Cemetery (2500 Willowtree Church Ave, Morganton, NC 28655).
