He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Lackey Epley; and his sister Aileen E. Tallent. He is survived by: his children, Kenny Epley (Deedra) of Morganton, Sharon Robinson (David) of Morganton and Patti E Cornell (Garry) of Morganton; his grandchildren, Jessie E. Short (Doug), Josh Epley, Graham Cornell (Destiny Franklin) and Kristen Robinson; his great grandchildren, Will Short, Ashlyn Robinson, Camillia Cornell and Bonnie Short; and his sister Helen E. Gayler of Morganton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
