John Elmer Buchanan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Elmer Buchanan of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Vassas Buchanan and Emma Elizabeth McCoy Buchanan; his wife Velma Clay Buchanan; and his siblings, Gilbert Buchanan, Riley Buchanan, Fonzer Buchanan, J. V. Buchanan, Samuel Buchanan and Nancy Hughes.

He is survived by : his sons, Randy Buchanan and Jerry Buchanan; his grandsons, David, Jeff, John, Matthew and Adam Buchanan; and his sisters, Mary Lowdermilk and Martha Sharp. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to Giedion's International and the American Diabetes Association.
