He is survived by: his wife Mavis Carpenter Freeman; his children, Sherri, Garner (Lisa), Celeste Kelly (Michael), Jude (Christine) and Jennie; and his brother Earnest. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
