With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thyra Little of Morganton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Thyra left this world on November 13, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband James D "Mickey" Little; her daughter Pat; her parents, Paul Shackleford and Delphia Shackleford; and her brothers, Hilton, Milton and Jennings.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra L Bunn (Wilton) of Raleigh, Beverly L Edwards (Stephen) of Wendell and Paula J Little of Morganton; and her sister-in-law Barbara Little Douglas of Wilson. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 5:15 PM at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church (1698 Conley Rd, Morganton, NC 28655). Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:40 AM at the First Baptist Church (311 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27893). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
