Thyra left this world on November 13, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband James D "Mickey" Little; her daughter Pat; her parents, Paul Shackleford and Delphia Shackleford; and her brothers, Hilton, Milton and Jennings.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra L Bunn (Wilton) of Raleigh, Beverly L Edwards (Stephen) of Wendell and Paula J Little of Morganton; and her sister-in-law Barbara Little Douglas of Wilson. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to First Baptist Church, Wilson, PO Box 1467, Wilson, NC 27894 or Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church of Morganton's Deaf Ministry.
