He was predeceased by : his parent Jackie Atkinson; his wife Dianne Lee Groves-Atkinson; and his daughter Kesha Moon Mercer. He is survived by : his daughter Star Everts; and his grandchildren, Benjamin Poston, Joshua Everts and Jacklyn Mercer.
