We announce the death of Angela Gail Boyd Bumgarner of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 59. Angela will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, William Corbett, Mary Cassell Lyons, Jonah Zeb and Agnes Ables Boyd; her father-in-law Rex Bumgarner; and her aunt Sandra "Aunt Woman" Johnson.
She is survived by: her parents, Glen Edward and Patricia "Pat" Lyons Boyd; her husband David Vernon Bumgarner; her brother David Wayne Boyd; her uncle Monroe Johnson; her aunt Marge Lyons; her cousins, Chris Johnson (Tammy), Drew Johnson (Shannon), Catherine Keightley and Deanna Lyons; her mother-in-law Mildred Bumgarner; her sisters-in-law, Amy Janes (Butch) and Anita Bumgarner (Kim); her niece Taylor Henderson (Reggie); her nephews, Nicholas Nuzzolilo, Zachary Nuzzolilo and Trevor Janes (Zoey); and her pets, Weiner and Max.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Christ Community Church (507 Riverside Dr, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery (614 Old U. S. 601, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
