She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Mabe and Nancy Landreth Mabe; her son Phillip Wayne Hester, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Jo Hester; and her brother Elmer Mabe, Jr. (Caden Moore).
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Lewallen (Jerry Johnson) of Mount Airy, Keith Hester of Thomasville and Tammy Jacobs (Marty) of Thomasville; her brother Charles Mabe; her grandchildren, Dustin Moore, Ashley Moore, Eric Hull (Carrie Cline) and Ryan Hester; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Katlin, Zachary, Bryson, Cason, Chase and Blaze; and her friend Lamar Powell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the J. C. Green and Sons Chapel (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
