With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bub Ayers (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Cana, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Bub left this world on June 17, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Bub shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bub farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth and Byrum; his wife Alice; his sister Carole; and his brother-in-law Nigel.
He is survived by: his brother Don Ayers (Phyllis); and his sibling's children, Candace Ayers (Jake), Brock Lamont (Angie) and Giles Lamont (Nancy).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Bethel Moravian Church (2119 Wards Gap Rd, Ararat, VA 24053). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Rachel's Place (289 Jones Chapel Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
