He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Childress Bowman; his daughter Kim Bowman; his stepchildren, Trent Childress (Janet) and Sandra Joyce (Blandy); his grandchildren, Abby Monclova (Eric), Amber Bowman, Turner Bowman (Ashley), Nicholas Bowman (Stephanie), Sabrina Yopp (Russell), Colby Bowman, Whittley McMillian (Casey) and Aaron Bowman; his great grandchildren, Adelaide Bowman, Caleb Bowman, Harper Bowman, Veda Bowman, Caroline McMillian, Cassie McMillian, Baby McMillian and Baby Yopp; and his sisters-in-law, Nellie Bowman, Barbara Bowman and Patsy Bowman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northside Baptist Church (886 Fowler Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
