She was predeceased by: her parents, Royden Weddle Ayers and Mable Hutson Ayers. She is survived by: her daughter Brandy Flores Pennell (James); and her siblings, Naomi McCreary, Ruth Caudle, Martha Gordon (Mike), Zack Ayers (Janite), Angel Coalson (Sharrell), Doris Hawks (Ricky) and PJ Chilton (Barry).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cox-Needham Funeral Home (822 W Main St, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
