Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ella Katherine Brannock of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 85, on April 11, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Vince McKinley Self and Virginia Carty Self Black; her husband Jack Douglas Brannock; her son Steven Clark Brannock; and her siblings, Shirley Upchurch (Kenneth), Vonna Easter, Betty Smith and William "Doug" Self.

She is survived by : her son Mark; her daughter-in-law Debbie Brannock; her grandchildren, Molly Brannock Metcalf, Doug, Abigail Brannock, Eric Brannock, Amanda, Stephanie Badgett and Freddy; her great grandchildren, Ava Brannock, Madison Badgett and Ryder Badgett; her sister Glenda Johnson; her brother-in-law Burley; and her brothers, Edward "Sam" Self (Linda) and David Self (Charlotte). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Community Baptist Church (644 Haystack Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
